A typical automobile claim took over four business days to resolve. When a vehicle becomes unusable after an accident, the disruption compounds quickly — missed work, unexpected expenses, and the anxiety of not knowing what comes next. Efficient claim processing wasn't just about speed; it was about reducing real human impact at the worst possible moment.

Approach

From damage to estimate — guided step by step

The core challenge was designing a process that any policyholder could follow in a high-stress moment, without training or a call center agent. Every screen had to earn its place.

Research & Mapping
Shadowed claims adjusters and interviewed policyholders to understand friction points, language barriers, and where photo submissions failed to capture enough detail.

Sketch & Concept
Explored multiple flows from initial claim search through damage documentation. Focused on reducing cognitive load for users in an already stressful moment.

Guided Photo Flow
Designed a step-by-step photo capture sequence with real-time angle guidance, ensuring images were taken from correct positions with sufficient clarity for accurate assessment.

Estimate & Delivery
Applied Chubb branding and enterprise design standards to produce a final experience that felt familiar, trustworthy, and aligned with the existing product ecosystem.
